Join us in late September for a vision trip with Linguæ Christi

I wanted to mention an opportunity for those, who are interested in knowing more about our ministry first-hand with the possibility of partnering with us in future. One of our long-term partners in ministry, David Tarkington (senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Orange Park, Florida) is planning to help us by leading a vision trip in London and Wales during 28 September – 4 October 2023.

Travel for John in 2023 and early 2024

One thing that is sort of new for me is my commitment to return to the USA once a year, usually in winter, to work remotely from there and at least for the foreseeable future. Generally, I wait 3-5 years and then return to the USA for about six months (to be compliant with US Social Security rules) of stateside assignment. This has actually been my pattern for 20+ years or so. However, at the end of my last six-month period in the USA (6 April 2022), it was clear that there were some health issues with close family members, which made me think that I need to return more frequently to the USA to help in with their care.

Short-term stories: Stirring hearts with music

This post comes from one of our short-term project participants during Summer 2023.

This summer Linguae Christi hosted a youth choir from Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Around 160 youth and sponsors toured North Wales to sing in chapels, schools, and concert venues. Through singing, they had the opportunity to share about the love of Jesus and how He had changed their lives.
