This year has been filled with a lot of crazy. There have been a lot of tasks and things that I could not have planned. In Driving down the street, I was annoyed. I woke up late and I was rushing to be somewhere. I didn’t accomplish all the things I needed and wanted to do before leaving home. On top of all this, I was caught in road construction that was not moving.

It is good to be back with you after the hiatus in August-September. I enjoyed finishing up our six-part series in late July on what we call our “Six-fold Incarnational Strategy” or 6fis. Those principles are really foundational to how we do our work on the ground and on a day-to-day basis. I hope that the examination of those six principles was helpful to you in understanding who we are and why we do what we do in the way that we do it. As I’m beginning this editorial again after the break, I’ve decided to ease us back in with a bit of an oddity, when compared with other examples of this editorial over the past few months.

For this month, my appeal is really more of a reminder.
Funding
Last month, I shared a document that had a few, priority needs in our ministry for funding. I would just like to call your attention once again to the first two items on that list, namely the Basque project and also the Kent Burchyett Missions Scholarship Fund. We have rather urgent and substantial financial needs in these two areas. Please, prayerfully consider giving and/or passing along these needs to others.
