Last month we also received some very sad news. Our good friend and former mission colleague, Kent Burchyett, passed away from complications of COVID-19. Kent served with us in Wales for three years in the early 2000s. His love of the Welsh people and their language was well-known, and he never lost his ability to speak Welsh fluently. While serving in pastoral ministry in the USA, he continued to pursue his love and calling for world missions through his involvement in mission projects in Wales, China, Czech Republic, and other areas.

Director’s Update — June 2021

Greetings to all! I do hope that this month’s blog finds you all well. It has been a bit of an eventful time for us both here in Wales and other areas, where we have ministry and partnerships, and I say “eventful” in the good sense of the word. We rejoice in new opportunities that the Lord is giving to us to build relationships and make Him known, as we continue to move out of lockdown and have more freedom to get out and about and interact with others. By and large, the weather continues to cooperate, and it is truly beautiful now that flowers and vegetation are in full leaf and bloom.

Surrender

Have you ever come to a place in your life where you felt out of control? In fact, the harder that you tried to “gain control” the more chaotic things became? Not to be too philosophical, but one of my biggest fears is the unknown. I think a large reason why is because I can’t control it or plan for it, and I don’t know what expectations to have.
