For this month, my appeal is really more of a reminder.

Funding

Last month, I shared a document that had a few, priority needs in our ministry for funding. I would just like to call your attention once again to the first two items on that list, namely the Basque project and also the Kent Burchyett Missions Scholarship Fund. We have rather urgent and substantial financial needs in these two areas. Please, prayerfully consider giving and/or passing along these needs to others. Major financial needs for Linguæ Christi’s mission

I have been hinting for a few months now that we have some really strategic and even essential areas of need, when it comes to funding. The cold, hard fact of the matter is that sometimes the only difference between unreached people groups having access to the Gospel in their languages or not is dependent on just one thing in earthly terms: money. Because we operate on-field with more of a missional, organic model, there often are not that many financial needs related to the day-to-day work of evangelism and Church planting. However, the greater financial need is for those issues, which are “behind the scenes” so to speak, but are essential in enabling and developing the day-to-day work of mission on the field among these often remote language groups in Europe.

Serve with us in Wales, Catalunya, throughout Europe or from home

To put it bluntly and simply, we really need people to serve with us, both on-field and also remotely. I’d like to share some of our main personnel needs over the next year and beyond. The books: a gift from God

Something that I have come to truly appreciate since I arrived in the Basque Country is the local culture. That includes my newly adopted home here as well as the culture of my homeland, Argentina. I especially like the art of writing, and the language and improvisation that come with it. I’ve been influenced both by the Bertsolaris in the Basque Country as well as the payadores and copleros in Argentina. Rappers from many parts of the world also inspire me with their art trying to sing about every aspect of life. Though I’m no professional, I try aim to do the same with my writing.

Restoration and celebration in the Basque Country

Something that we are experiencing in Kale Argia, our Basque-speaking community of faith, is seeing the grace and restoration of Jesus in people’s lives. And for that we give glory to God!

About a year ago, a young woman from the town of Hernani received Christ in her heart, and soon after she decided to be baptised. After being absent from the community for a while, she returned to the meetings, but this time accompanied by her boyfriend who soon also received Christ.
