For this instalment of Sprachspielen, we have come to the sixth and final component of our Six-Fold Incarnational Strategy (6fis). Once again, if you are new to this six-part series of Sprachspielen, which focuses on this important and practical aspect of our day-to-day ministry, I encourage you to go back to the beginning of the series to the February instalment and work your way forward. Having looked at (1) Prayer, (2) the Open Home, (3) the “Ministry of Hanging Out,” (4) Interests, and (5) Needs, we come this month to the topic of (6) the Verbal Witness.
(more…)Transitions & urgent prayer requests
Over the next 6-8 months a number of us, serving on field in Wales and the Basque Country, are going to be moving around a good bit and in some cases making a major move over the long-term. Consequently, “transition” will be a theme for many of us over the next few months.

By God’s mercy, two and a half years ago we began with a team of Basque believers to plant a community of Christian faith in Euskara, the Basque language, here in the Basque Country. In 2019 the group was very small and we had meetings twice a month, but in 2020 the group grew and we began to meet every week as we continue to do today. By the Lord’s grace and love, he allowed us to serve in this whole process, and we give all the glory to Him.

This month in the Sprachspielen editorial, we are continuing to look at our Six-fold Incarnational strategy (6fis). June’s focus is on the fifth element of our 6fis. As I’ve reminded you each month, if you’re new to this series of articles, please go back to the February instalment, which introduces the basic premise and structure behind the 6fis.

Kent served with us in Wales for three years in the early 2000s. His love of the Welsh people and their language was well-known, and he never lost his ability to speak Welsh fluently. While serving in pastoral ministry in the USA, he continued to pursue his love and calling for world missions through his involvement in mission projects in Wales, China, Czech Republic, and other areas.
