It is good to be back with you after the hiatus in August-September. I enjoyed finishing up our six-part series in late July on what we call our “Six-fold Incarnational Strategy” or 6fis. Those principles are really foundational to how we do our work on the ground and on a day-to-day basis. I hope that the examination of those six principles was helpful to you in understanding who we are and why we do what we do in the way that we do it. As I’m beginning this editorial again after the break, I’ve decided to ease us back in with a bit of an oddity, when compared with other examples of this editorial over the past few months.

For this instalment of Sprachspielen, we have come to the sixth and final component of our Six-Fold Incarnational Strategy (6fis). Once again, if you are new to this six-part series of Sprachspielen, which focuses on this important and practical aspect of our day-to-day ministry, I encourage you to go back to the beginning of the series to the February instalment and work your way forward. Having looked at (1) Prayer, (2) the Open Home, (3) the “Ministry of Hanging Out,” (4) Interests, and (5) Needs, we come this month to the topic of (6) the Verbal Witness.

This month in the Sprachspielen editorial, we are continuing to look at our Six-fold Incarnational strategy (6fis). June’s focus is on the fifth element of our 6fis. As I’ve reminded you each month, if you’re new to this series of articles, please go back to the February instalment, which introduces the basic premise and structure behind the 6fis.

For our May instalment of Sprachspielen, we’ll be continuing to look at our “Six-fold Incarnational Strategy,” or 6fis for short. This month we’ll be looking at the fourth element of the 6fis. Before I jump in with this month’s topic, I did want to remind you that if you’re new to this series of articles on the 6fis, I advise you to go back to the first part of the first instalment, which gives a pretty thorough introduction to the basic premise behind our 6fis. You can find it in February’s Sprachspielen.

As I have done for the past couple of months, in April’s instalment of Sprachspielen, I’ll be moving on to the third component of our Six-Fold Incarnational Strategy (6fis), which is at the centre of all of our efforts and plans, related especially to local ministry and personal interactions for the sake of the Gospel. Like I mentioned last month, if you need a reminder or you’re just now joining this series of articles, I encourage you to go back to February’s Sprachspielen, where I spent a good bit of time explaining in general what is the 6fis, and why it is so important to our ministry. I’ll be writing the rest of this month’s instalment under the assumption that you have read that previous introduction to this series.

For the March instalment of Sprachspielen, I would like to continue the “mini series” that I started last month, speaking about the six components of what we call the “Six-fold Incarnational Strategy,” or for short: 6fis. I gave a rather thorough introduction to the basic philosophy behind the 6fis in last month’s instalment of Sprachspielen. I’m going to be writing this instalment under the assumption that the reader is familiar with what I shared last month about the 6fis in general. If not, I would encourage you to read the February 2021 instalment of this series, as it will give you the background you need to understand and move forward with this month’s editorial.
